Ian graduated from Syracuse University in 2019 with a dual degree in Architecture and History of Architecture. His architectural thesis, Topologies of Historic Typologies, challenged today’s relentlessly stagnant approach to historical intervention. While at Syracuse, Ian was the president of the Architecture Student Organization, peer advisor in architecture, member of the SU Entrepreneurship Club, librarian of the Architecture Reading Room, and captain of the intramural soccer team. He studied abroad in Florence for a semester in order to deepen his knowledge of classical architecture, which first sparked his interest in the field. Ian grew up outside of Rochester, NY and interned at Clark Patterson Lee throughout his college career. He is newly a Cambridge resident and excited to be living within the environment he will now be designing. Ian’s design sensibility and mastery of BIM software, as well as experience in virtual reality, are a fantastic addition and expansion of SKA.
