Cambridge Renovation - 45 Saville St.
This house in West Cambridge was a rental unit on the first floor of a 2 family house that was gutted and completey renovated to update all systems and to open up the floorplan to make it a better space for entertaining.
The Phippen Poolhouse was Designed and Built in Beverly Massachusetts in 2003-2004. It consisted of a Creating a Storage Space, Changing Room, Bathroom , and outdoor Shower space while integrating itself into the landscape. The project was approached by trying to pull apart the two main pieces of the program, the Changing rooms and the Bathroom/Shower.
Cambridge, MA Deck
Sam and team designed and built this two-story residential deck in 2012, replacing an aging deck. The new deck aims to create a treehouse effect, and is built out of Ipe wood to last for generations to come. Stainless steel rails frame a beautiful, open view.
This compost bin for a client in Dover, MA, was a complete design/build project. The client asked Sam to build a Stage 3 composter to help teach four kids about the composting process.
We used removable mahogany slats joined together a mitered corners. Douglas Fir posts, Mahogany frames and wire window screens created a simple pallet that stands handsomely in the landscape.
We transformed this oceanfront Cohasset house with a complete gut renovation and significant addition. The clients asked us to design and build a large two story deck on the ocean side, and to give a more, open contemporary feel to the interior. Together we created a beautiful contemporary home down to the tiniest detail, while keeping an exterior that fits with the Cohasset vernacular.
