SAM KACHMAR Principal, Owner

Sam has over 20 years of architecture-related professional experience. Sam earned a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from Syracuse University and studied Architecture intensively  in Florence Italy with Syracuse University. As the principal of the firm, he brings an innovative approach to the Architecture and Construction process. As an architect who understands how to build, he fuses residential design with the latest developments for residential construction. His project experience focuses on residential construction and renovation. He has a proven track record of successfully guiding projects through complex permitting processes, working with clients to get projects to achieve their vision, on schedule, within budget, while reaching a high level of craftsmanship. He is an active member in the AIA, BSA, NCARB and LEED, as well as the overall industry network.

AXEL RAMIREZ Project Architect

Axel is a Nicaraguan-American architect with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from the National University of Architecture in Managua, Nicaragua. During his studies, he worked for a local building company, Styloz Construcciones, drafting and planning residential and institutional projects. He later worked for U.S.-based companies in Nicaragua including Remax/Metro and Pacifica Asociados as an Architect Designer. In 2017, after almost 20 years of experience in Architecture and Design, Axel joined SKA as a Project Manager. Recognized for his charisma, love of learning, sharing of knowledge and solid design skills - Axel is an integral part of the SKA Team.


Michaela graduated in 2018 from Syracuse University with a dual degree in Architecture and Geography, focusing on urban geographies. She spent two semesters studying abroad in London, UK and Florence, Italy, traveling and studying local architecture and urbanism extensively. A Cambridge native, Michaela has been working with SKA since May 2017 as a designer. She has a mastery of BIM software and provides technical expertise with refined and energetic spatial abilities to every project she works on.


Steven is currently a candidate for a Bachelor of Architecture at Boston Architectural College with an interest in architectural theory, design and visualization. With interests in institutional design and an avid traveler, he has toured and surveyed some of the most notable museums and archaeological sites in Eastern Europe in his spare time. Steven has quicklly become an integral part of SKA’s team, providing visualization and drawing support capabilities as need regardless of the project or circumstances. Steven is currently working toward licensure in Massachusetts.
